Tuna, spinach & cherry tomatoes pasta

With the anxiety of the election day coming up I found myself craving more and more carbs. This tasty pasta with its careful balance of carbs, proteins and vegetables will keep you fuller for longer and is perfect to fuel a gym workout.

Preparation time 15 min


  • 65/70 grams of fusilli pasta
  • 1 small tuna tin ( 70 gr)
  • 4-5 cherry tomatoes
  • a handful of spinach leaves
  • 2 small garlic cloves
  • a dash of chilli flakes
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
  • Sea salt to taste


Boil some water in a pot add some sea salt and add the pasta. I the meantime add the garlic cloves cut in two ( without the skin) chili flakes, and a bit of olive oil in a non-stick pan. Put it on the hob and heat it up for  couple of minutes, then add the spinach roughly cut in small strips, the cherry tomatoes cut in four, and let them sweat at lower heat for a few minutes. At the last minute add the drained tuna and let mix with the rest, then take out of the hob. When the past is ready ( check cooking time on the packet) drain it and pour it in the pan. Place it back on the hob for half a minute, while you are stirring it to allow it to mix it up with the rest of the ingredients. Serve end enjoy it!
